She has been a serial entrepreneur in China and Australia. She started her own business in textile raw materials supply in Shenzhen during the early 1990’s. At that time she also invested in an export manufacturing business for surgical consumable products. In 2005, Amy started an Australian business that designed and manufactured a new innovative range of ‘SureSafe' surgical gowns and drapes. This product range is today sold in Australia, USA, Europe, Asia and Africa.
Amy spends a lot of time in operating theatres and understands hospital operations from the clinical and material supply side. Her experiences over the past 20 years have made software design for clinical applications a natural next step. Solving real clinical problems and creating simplicity are her driving motivations.
