Marcus is based in the Global Village Canberra and focuses his activities on developing and supporting ventures that provide the innovation edge for Australia. He employs passion and strategy for the ventures he leads. He is a strategy, innovation, design and systems thinker.

His GreenMag Group has been leading an initiative that seeks to permanently store billions of tonnes of CO2 using the Earth's own carbon sink mechanism - mineral carbonation. He has been the driving force to win Commonwealth & NSW Government funding for this world first pilot plant together with his venture partners Orica & Newcastle University now known as Mineral Carbonation International (MCi).

Marcus is a serial entrepreneur and has had success with his many of his ventures. Most notably eDIME Internet Agency which he founded and sold to Computer Sciences Corp (CSC) in 2000. At which time was the largest provider of Internet strategy and sites to Federal Government with 25 departments and agencies outsourced including Prime Minister, AEC, Defence, ASIO, ATSIC, DVA and many others .... 

Marcus was co-founder of Revolution CD, a second hand music and software store chain.

His diversified business interests range from climate change related technology, e-health, complex data, advanced materials, cloud software, mentoring youth, electronic music and promoting the Global Village Canberra region & its high tech enterprises. He conducts these through various ventures & companies including not-for-profit entities. 

His board experience is balanced - sitting on government committees, business boards of startups, scientific & non-for profit public and private organisation boards & committees. He is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD).

Marcus has architected & delivered many substantial projects through his ability to build ‘genius’ teams. Identifying and motivating teams to achieve success. His passion for knowledge crosses many different fields of endeavour.

Mineral Carbonation International (MCi)

An exciting new venture company aiming to build the world's first purpose built mineral carbonation pilot plant in Newcastle, Australia. This is a joint venture between GreenMag Group, Orica and Newcastle Innovation. 

The pilot plant and R&D program intends to prove the viability of large scale, safe and permanent storage of CO2 in carbonates. Those carbonates could then be used in building products.

The main pilot plant R&D program is funded by the NSW Government, Commonwealth Government and Orica. It will run from July 2013 to July 2017.A start-up promoting leading health innovations.

A 5 year music project - music label and studio based in Canberra. Focussed on producing own electronic music and recording and producing other bands and artists over a 5 year period. Produced 5 albums of own work.

Staged several events such as 'Phatback Youth Music Festival' and 'For One Night Only - Albert Hall'. Released single 'Wanna Be your Lover' featuring video clip shot in Canberra with dancers Rhiannon Box and Cariba Heine.

Recorded many artists from ANU Jazz School and bands from the region.

Produced song 'Hippo Nights' on Schmooze Lounge album with Niels Rosendahl on saxaphone.

Final album was Canberra Underground Project - a series of collaborations with myself and another artists on each track.
