Garry completed his PhD in Medical Biophysics at the University of Toronto in 2013, where he advanced the use of MRI in diagnosing and characterizing cardiovascular diseases. He is a specialist in the software control of the MRI scanner. Prior to graduate school, Garry completed an undergraduate degree in Systems Design Engineering at the University of Waterloo.
During his graduate studies, Garry co-founded Innovere Medical Inc. with then fellow PhD student, Kevan Anderson. The shared passion for helping MRI clinics do more with MRI scanners drive the founders to make Innovere successful.
Garry was awarded the Heffernan Commercialization Fellowship from the University of Toronto for a proposal to lead Innovere to bring their first product to market. Innovere has since sold several MRI-VoiceLink systems in North America and Europe.
