Maryam Saleh was a founding member of Cyberkinetics Neurotechnology Systems Inc., a startup that commercialized a brain implant that aimed to restore movement in paralyzed individuals. She’s also founded the Center for Device Development at Northwestern University, a fellowship program where doctors and engineers test drive their medical device business idea. Her goal at MATTER is to design programs to encourage collaboration across multiple stakeholders to improve healthcare. She has a BSc in Computer engineering from Brown University and a PhD in Computational Neuroscience from the University of Chicago.
